Roberto Rivera Brief Bio
Roberto A Rivera, a licensed California private investigator with offices in Northern California, has over sixteen years in-depth industry specific knowledge in all facets of investigation and risk consulting. He has undertaken over 10,000 cases, ranging from high-profile investigations such as the local political cases involving various government officials, fraud investigations, insurance, internal/external investigations, employee theft and asset protection. He also conducts investigations in sexual harassment cases, workers' compensation defense, product diversion, counterfeit and investigations, background research, and locates of witnesses, defendants and hidden assets.
Roberto is the Sole Proprietor of Rivera & Associates since 1998 and his firm has served clients locally, nationwide and internationally. His client list includes law firms, banks, private attorneys, corporations, insurance companies, retail establishments and private parties, such as the California Apartment Association, the City and County of San Francisco, Roadway Transportation v Co., United Parcel Service (UPS) and United States Postal Services. He currently holds a Private Investigator License through the State of California, Bureau of Security and Investigative Services. From 2005 to 2009, his firm has served as an independent investigator for the City of San Jose Elections Commission.
Roberto has served as a member of the California Association of Licensed Investigators (CALI) since 1998, has served a District Governor and currently serves as District Director for the San Jose District. In 2002, he earned the Certified Professional Investigator (CPI) specialization credentials. He is fully Bilingual and Fluent in Spanish and capable of utilizing his language abilities in investigation and risk consulting.
Roberto also has served as a Court Appointed Investigator in Santa Clara, San Mateo, Contra Costa, Napa and Alameda Counties. He has also served as a Federal Court-Appointed Investigator in the Ninth Federal District Court.
Born in San Jose, California, Roberto is a graduate of Saint Francis High School and California State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice Administration, and a concentration in Law Enforcement and a Minor in Sociology. He has also completed subsequent graduate work in Criminology. Roberto is knowledgeable and trained in Legal Procedures, Laws and Legally Acceptable Techniques. Additionally, he has attended training through Wicklander-Zulawski Inc. & Associates and the Insurance Educational Association.
Roberto enjoys hobbies include reading and watching foreign films. Roberto is also a volunteer for his children’s schools, and current President of Pueblo de San Jose Kiwanis Club, which fundraises for schools, children and mentoring programs, as well as, performs volunteer service to the community.
